Move to Northern Ireland: for the great quality of life

Earlier this year we surveyed you, our diaspora, to gain a better understanding of what really matters to you.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and for your responses.

We had fantastic feedback. You gave us your thoughts on Northern Ireland, and what it means to you. For many of you, it has been a long time since you called this part of the world home and a lot of you expressed a desire to better understand what is currently happening today in Northern Ireland. Whether you are considering moving back to Northern Ireland, or if you just want to keep up to speed with what is happening here we want to provide the right information for you.

So, what’s new in Northern Ireland? Well, it’s fair to say that in the past 25 years Northern Ireland has changed a lot. As the traditional employment sectors have declined these have been replaced with hi-tech, innovative jobs across a range of sectors. Northern Ireland is a global leader in cyber security, fintech, advanced manufacturing & engineering and life & health sciences. We have a vibrant start-up scene to help support those with their ideas to help shape our future. All this adds up to Northern Ireland being one of the top locations for foreign direct investment in the UK.

But it’s not just the economy that has changed. With its young and well-educated workforce, Northern Ireland is an increasingly diverse region. A thriving arts scene, together with an eclectic food and drink offering makes the region a great place to live. As well as this we have a world-class natural landscape and we are supporting green technologies to protect the planet for future generations. No wonder we’re the happiest people in the UK!
