Northern Ireland Greenways provide a world-class walking and cycling infrastructure across Northern Ireland via a network of traffic-free pathways on the footprint of our abandoned railway network and former canals.
In 2016 the NI Government a Greenway Strategy which aims to create 1,000 kilometres of routes.
